Quicktime and 16:9!
on Feb 11, 2006 at 10:19:56 pm

Why doesnt Quicktime stretch out 16:9 footage so we see it like it should be? It keeps it 4:3.

Some other mediaplayers detect the source as 16:9 and shows it like you would see it on TV!

The only way to show widescreen in Quicktime is to FAKE the resolution like 1024x576 for D1 widescreen/Pal. But this make it much bigger in size and harder to play realtime on some pc's.

Am I missing a function in QT7 to show widescreen like it should be?
