[Tim Pfeffer] "Would the fact that it is a 60Hz camera eliminate the possibility of be able to shoot at 25p?"

If it's 60Hz only, yes. It won't shoot 25p, it will acutally shoot + or - 60Hz (which is 59.94). So 25p will acutally be 25000/1001 = 24.975fps.

I am not sure of the frame increments on the 170. And if you shoot in 25pN over 24p, you will lose audio.

[Tim Pfeffer] "Or can you shoot 25p on a 60Hz camera as well? "

Some cameras (like our HPX 2000) are 50 or 60Hz switchable.

[Tim Pfeffer] "I thought that I saw the camera did have the ability to shoot 25p, so maybe this is a 50Hz? "

If you can access 720p50, and not 720p50 over 60, it might be switchable.

[Tim Pfeffer] "So I guess what I am asking is, can you only EXCLUSIVELY shoot 25p with a 50Hz? "

Yes, in 720pN25
