Kevin,

I am confused then. I think that you are saying that film it in 1080i for the best resolution. I think that you are also saying 720p is actually shot at 1280 and 1080p and then down converted. My question is this. I am working on a family project. I have shot a lot of the interviews in 1080i but have been editing in final cut in 720. I want the best overall resolution. People of have mentioned to edited in 720p and then up convert it to 1080p. Your saying that the stuff is already 1080 and then down converted to 720. So when you up convert being digital will their be that much of a loss in picture quality.
