Hello, I have a problem with some footage shot on Sony FS7, the problem is not from the camera but i hope i can find some sollutions here.
The thing is that my editor dropped the harddrive with the footage and we almost lost it, we mannaged to recover 90% of the footage but we still have some problems with it, i think they couldn't reconstruct it 100% so now if i play the clips in VLC the sound gets ahead of the image and if I import it and play it in FinalCutPro 7 at some point, after 30-40-50 seconds the sound and the image stops for a second and continue after with no problem. Now the question is, do you know if there is any software that can reconstruct the metadata?
p.s. if i'm not clear i can upload some footage

Do you still have the camera masters? You should store the camera masters and the imported media on separate drives, for just THIS reason. If you lose the imported media for any reason...you can reconvert/import the footage again. IN fact the camera masters should be on TWO drives, in case one of them fails.
