Subtitles and Match Frame
Subtitles and Match Frame

Hey, All!

Possibly weird question: I started cutting a subtitled scene today and realized that when I match frame, it brings me to the clip without the subtitles. Is there any way that you can think of that the match frame can refer back to the subtitled sequence? I need to be able to change the subtitles as I edit, so subclips with the text burned in won't work. Any other ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

Peace & respect,

Sorry, you can't match back to a sequence...only clips

I'm not clear on what you're matching back from and to and why you are needing to do it, but if you load the sequence you want to match back to in the Source Monitor, you can match to it from the one in the Record Monitor by using "Reverse Match Frame". Make sure you have the correct video tracks highlighted that you are matching from and to.

Why is it that you can't simply change it in the sequence you are working on?
