Exporting footage that's been colour corrected

Hello. I wonder which option is better when exporting footage that originally had values between 15-235 and I also imported it as such: 601 SD 709 HD. Then when I colour corrected it, some colour values are Bellowe 15 and above 235. As far as I understand it is better to export that as 601/709 as exporting with RGB option would crush the black and whites bellow 15 and above 235. So is it better to use 601/709 export and will that keep all the values bellow 15 and above 235?

Also what does Avid do with the colour space when you create a video mixdown?
