Digitizing tape with time code breaks
Digitizing tape with time code breaks

I'm digitizing a tape and taking time code from a betacam BVW75. Is there a setting that will allow the file created to follow those time code breaks? It seems that once I roll a 60 minute tape with multipe time code breaks, I only get the initial time code and it lays down time code as if it were in free run.

Sorry, no. You will have to do this manually like you would with anything else. The file will not won't/can't write in different non-continuos tc. You will have to break this up in to multiple 'takes' to follow the tc breaks.

if you are looking for the KiPro to handle creating subclips?

it cannot be done via analog.

If you had a digital (HDSDI) deck, you set up the KiPro as you would for recording from a camera, turing on the Arm/TC IN setting and use the Timecode over SDI RP188 then every TC break would start and stop the recording creating a new clip at every TC break.

but only in digital.
