Audio Time Units out of sync when I move tracks
Audio Time Units out of sync when I move tracks
by Abe Marks on Aug 10, 2010 at 12:25:48 am

Greetings,

I'll start by saying I have searched high and low and found no info regarding this issue.

I'm working in Premiere Pro CS4 editing an interview with 3 different audio tracks (Mic1, Mic2, Boom)
The audio from each camera was slightly off causing a slight echo, so I enabled Show Audio Time Units, unlinked my audio tracks, and moved only the audio untill it was in sync with no echo, plays back perfectly.

The problem happens, when I try to do pretty much anything, move the clips, drag everything to a new timeline, make a cut, all of these actions cause my audio to jump back to the original sync, causing the unwanted echo to return.

I've tried toggling Sync Lock, Re-linking my video/audio, leaving the audio unlinked, grouping everything, but the same thing ALWAYS happens and it is very frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks.

Not sure why that's happening.

Maybe try clipping each audio track where you want each to start, export one each separately and re-import them. Audio/video sync problems are no stranger to Premiere.
