Commercial format

I am not sure which forum is appropriate but I'll start here.

I will be shooting/editing/delivering my first commercial for a client to be aired on TV (Cablevision).

I have previously been working only in online delivery. What do I need to know about formatting and standards?

For example, does 30 seconds mean 29s23f (in 24p), and on that note I always have shot 24p and prefer the look, should is be 30fps instead, or is that up to me? And I'm sure I can find out from Cablevision but what is a standard delivery format? Is it customary to deliver with handle in front for a second? two seconds? none?

Anything else you think of that I may run into being that I am used to the more liberal/open-format delivery of the internet?

Thank you in advance

Contact Cablevision to find out the exact specs. There's no standard, it depends on the broadcaster.

They will want a 29.97fps or 59.94fps version of the spot
