Duik Bassel - Bringing Hand 'Forward'
by Cassidy Campbell on Jul 5, 2019 at 7:39:34 pm
I am currently working on a piece for a client. I had my characters rigged before I realized I had an issue with how the rig was interacting with a placed object.
I have a crib in the foreground and I want to the character to place their hand in front of the crib while their body remains behind it. The character was rigged and brought in as a pre-comp from another project. Is there a way to pull this off?
It's been awhile since I've brushed up on Duik and I'm still getting the hand of the new rigging system, so this might be easier than I realize. Hopefully someone can help.

If it only happens for a short stint why not just do some trickery with masks and duplicate layers then change hiearchy?
Unless of course, this is all 3D then masks will def be needed.
