After effects class

I was wondering if anyone new a good after effects class. I’ve just switched from Avid to premiere and know nothing about After effects. I live in Portland, OR, but was thinking about possibly trying one of the NAB classes in Vegas. Do you think this is worth it? Any other recommendations?

I did a quick search in these forums but didn’t find anything.

Thanks!

If online courses are fine, Lynda.com and Pluralsight are both quite good.

yeah I agree with Kalleheikki. Theres lots of a good sources online, try those as well as video copilot, workbench, and theres a lot of youtube channels too. Mt Mograph, Ignace Aleya, MotionMile and ECAbrams are all pretty good! many others too, but off the top of my head thats what i got for ya

Hi Michael, sorry I can't help with your actual question but if you are looking for excellent online training (that I wish had been around when I started) it's here at CreativeCow:

https://library.creativecow.net/tutorials/adobeaftereffectsbasics/andrewdevis

It uses an older version of AE but it's all still relevant. For my money Andrew Devis is the best tutor around (he also has a ton of more advanced tutorials as well).
