Has anyone tried to use Color Finesse with the 844/x? I sure could use some form of white point color correction.

Thanks!

Hi Robert,
Doesn't work. Nasty crash.
Wish it did, though. Very handy with AE indeed.

Too Bad!

Anything out there with white point color correction that behaves itself?

Thanks!

Check out the 55mm filters. The Windows AE version seems to work with our system.

Actually, I'm a big fan of 55mm but I have an older set. (v4.0?) I'm not in front of my 844/x right now. Do they offer a white point color correction filter?

Thanks!

Essentially, you tell a piece of software what portion of a picture is suppose to be white. Usually it is done with an eyedropper. Then the software will "reverse engineer" the proper color temperature for the shot. Think of it as a post production white balance. I've seen it work on an Avid and it does a quick, painless job of correcting bad white balance. From what I understand, it was suppose to be in the never released "next" version of the 844/x.

Would love to hear about a compatible plug-in that can do the same thing.
