I started up with Premiere and a Videovision card in 1994.
Then came Media100i 1997 a great system that I still use.

the highspeed expressway.

Avid is a good choice, but I think the Axio is very impressive. It reminds me of 844X.

Jan

Maybe after NAB look at the AJA PC Card that works with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.

i have worked on a beta of Premiere and it is very good and works brilliantly with After Effects.

Whilst the demo site ran Matrox I too would be warey of their response/support times. I am quite impressed with AJA and as a small family company they are very aware of what the market wants.

Amusingly the young editor who was my 844x operator (til we couldnt deliver HD) is now freelancing on Avid and has found the most reliable set up not be unity or ds but Express DV on a turn key dribe set up! Old fashioned and reliable.
