Hi Guys and the master himself Floh!

Im have 844/x xe version 3.02 on xw8200
I want to put my final projects onto DVD ( sonic DVDIT)

What is the quickest way of exporting the files from 844/x to get them to DVD
I tried exporting as a quicktime movie but it takes forever and more!

Is there any quick way of doing it?

Is there a quicktime file in my media drive that I can drag directly into sonic and let that do the encoding. I know that the rough media is there but does it create a processed version that I can drag directly out?

Thanks for the help

Paul

Paul,

if you have enough drive space you could precompose your whole timeline and process this precomposition. This will end up as being one native 844/X quicktime file on your drive you could use for encoding. Much quicker than exporting.

Hey Paul,

We bit the bullet and bought a Digital Rapids encoder board for realtime encoding...the one we bought was even the cheapest with S-VHS and composite inputs. I loop out of the S out of our Beta deck to feed it.

It looks and works fantastic! Well worth the $995. Not only do I use it to encode to Mpeg2, but also Quicktime and Windows Media as well. Perfect for quick client approvals...

Give them a look,
Jason

Hi Floh

I have over 1tb storage, so do I finish my program, then process, go to the process folder in the media drive and copy it over to dvd it?

Thanks

Paul

Yes. Finish your program, Precompose it, render the precomposition and locate the media file in the processed folder. Then use that for DVD creation.
