Glitch with outline title function creating blurry background image
on May 18, 2012 at 6:11:23 am

Hi- I am working in FCP6 on an older macbook. I am trying to super my interviewees in a documentary and finding color issues for several of them (in that nothing is terribly visible.) I thought I had just hit a major success by using "outline" instead of "text" or "lower 3rd"- it creates a white text with black outline that is suddenly extremely visible for all of the subjects, BUT... it seems to have a glitch where the underlying shots of these individuals (originally filmed in HD) suddenly become blurry and distorted... Any suggestions? If this is just an insurmountable glitch in FCP6, thoughts on how to simply create a text box to place the supers in would also be appreciated. I tried using the shape function, but that doesn't seem to be compatible with titles. Note- I also tried to switch over to using Boris, but it wouldn't seem to ingest any commands as far as font change or outlining- just kept reverting to its default. Thanks!!
