Final Cut X Project to Compressor for Blu-Ray h.264with PCM (newbie)

I appologize up-front if I'm way off on my expectations with Compressor. I'm new to FCPX but have so far found the composition to be intuitive. I finished a project that I successfully exported (shared) as Blu-Ray. That export default doesn't allow me to choose LPCM instead of AC3. I don't think I was able to choose mulit-pass encoding either.

So I thought purchasing compressor would help. My expectation of workflow was that in FC I'd choose the project and export to Compressor. But when I do that, Comp launches without any content. It wants me to choose a file, but I don't have a post-production media file. Instead I have the FC project.

Do I have to transcode my project into a file (ex. mov) before Compressor can then transcode again for Blu-Ray. Or am I doing something wrong.

Another way to recap it: How do I export my FC project as a Blu-Ray with multi-pass encoding and LPCM audio?
