How do I move or convert a clip from my Timeline window to the Browser?

Perhaps I am doing this wrong but I have a whole bunch of clips that I have imported from my Camera that need to be further reduced as individual clips. I assume the best way to edit this is on the timeline via I/O points and then convert back as clips?

No...that is not the best way. The best way is to load them into the VIEWER (by dragging them there, or double clicking) and then to mark your IN and OUT there, and make SUBCLIPS...
