I have a project I shot in 4:3 hdv and edtited in dv ntsc, and also captured in this. I exported as a quicktime ntsc. A few spots in my sequence I freeze framed a shot, and then faded to black. When watching the export ,the spots where I used the effect Im seeing a frame "jump" almost like its resizing. Any ideas why ?
I've seen this issue before when your footage codec doesn't match your sequence codec. Select the item properties of both the clip and the sequence, if the compressor settings are different it could cause your footage to jump during simple effects.
If that is the case, you should be able to change the compressor settings in the "Sequence Settings" tab (select the sequence and press Command-0) to match your footage. While you are there, make sure your editing timebase is the same as your footage. If they differ, create a new sequence with a timebase that matches your footage.
Add your effects and it should render out without the "jump."
If you still have an issue, go into the Video Processing tab of your Sequence Settings and change the "Motion Filtering Quality" to Best.
