Having to re-render in Final Cut 7 when any changes are made
on Apr 16, 2011 at 1:23:28 pm

Hi,

I'm working in Final Cut Pro 7 editing 7d footage in the Apple ProRes 422(LT) codec and am having rendering problems. The specific problem is with text. The film I am editing is in Spanish and so there are a lot of subtitles. The director has subbed all of the relevant rushes on a separate machine, but using the same version of final cut, the same project, scratch discs, media etc. and did not encounter this problem.

I have tried various sequence render setting but so far nothing has worked. The deadline for the project is in one month and this could drastically slow down my time. I even tried converting the timeline to another codec etc. but has the same problem.

Does anybody have any advice for me on how to solve the problem. My computer specs are as follows, perhaps that might be the problem? In all honesty I'm not very computer savvy... Thank you.

iMac Version 10.6.5

PROCESSOR: 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo

MEMORY: 4 GB

START UP DISC: Mac HD

Hi Isaac,
Make sure that the sequence is set for "Unlimited RT".
