final cut pro, video scaling
on Apr 12, 2011 at 4:45:00 pm

I am trying to bring three separate videos into one movie. I have done this using the viewer slug, motion tab, and scaled down so that all three fit side by side . Everything works fine, but the resulting image quality is terrible. Any suggestions for better image quality would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Anna

Were gonna need more info.

Codec used in the 3 video files.
Frame size of original video files.
Timeline settings.

**Hindsight is always 1080p**

The position coordinates are whole, even numbers, and it did fully render.

The individual 3 videos were all H.264, 720x480. Sorry, I'm not sure what other info you need. I think I need to access FCP for the rest of it, but won't have the software again until Friday.

Firs thing h.264 is not an editing codec so you need to convert the vidio to a proper editing codec first.

If you have questions on that do a search of the cow you'll find tons of info.

2 Things: Make sure, in the motion tab, the position coordinates are whole, even numbers. Second, are you sure you fully rendered?
