I,m trying to capture the video from dvd...I first copied the files to HD then i opened compresor where i changed the vob files in to files that fcpro can read...only a few of them are made others compresor cant read and VOB files cant transform...always some error. There are 01-1.vob...etc, till lets say 01-5.vob, only 01_1,2.vob is made ok others there some other way to capture dvd files VOB, so they all are transformed in to a file that fcpro reads? Or way to capture video VOB files?

Handbrake is another option. I've had better luck on DVDs with that than mpeg streamclip. Unfortunately it's a two-step process with handbrake.

At this time, FCP doesn't handle VOB files. They have to be in a format that is friendlier to video editing;

As others have pointed out, MPEG Streamclip is the tool of choice (as long as the video isn't copy protected)
