apple pro res 422
on Sep 14, 2010 at 4:31:14 am

i am about to capture hdv footage from my hdrfx1 to final cut pro. i was advised to use pro res and have narrowed my options to two :

* apple pro res 422 1440/1080 25p (field dominance : none)

or

* apple pro res 422 1440/1080 50i (field dominance : upper [odd])

could somebody please advise me which setting to use and perhaps why as i'm not sure why i would choose one rather than the other?

the bracketed information regarding field dominance seems to be the only difference i can see and i'm not even totally sure of its significance...

thanks

Hi Adam,
The first one is for when you have shot Interlaced, the second one is when yuou have shot Progressive.

Sorry, is exactly the opposite:
- None: When you have shot Progressive.
- Upper First; when you shot Interlaced.

Hi Adam,
i don't know that camera, but for what I see in Googles, it seems that only records Interlaced.
