Using specific client codec in Compressor
on Jun 19, 2010 at 3:03:37 pm

My client has required that I encode a deliverable AVI in the Ensharpen coded.

When I create a new setting in Compressor can anyone tell me where and how I can select this codec (which is installed on my machine now) to be used?

Is it a matter of taking the codec and dumping it in a folder somewhere?

I seek enlightenment, please?

Lawrence

AFAIK there is no AVI option in Compressor. You might exporting to QuickTime Conversion or using third part software like Episode.

All the best,

MPGStreamclip is also a good option to export AVI.
What I'm not sure is if you can pack an AVI with Ensharper in a Mac.
You should ask the people of Ensharper

Tom, Rafael,
Thank you both for your solutions. I have Flip4mcHD and MPEG streamclip - both of which work well. But I'm puzzled as to why I can't find or choose the Ensharpen codec from Techsmith anywhere.

Or is this just me needing a new set of spectacles?

Hi Lawrence,
Flip4 mac is only to export WMV.
The Ensharper should appear as an option in the list of the available QT codec; but you need to install Ensharper first.
