Is there anyway to improve the resolution of an image I use?
on May 7, 2010 at 12:23:09 am

Im making a film and i want to use some still images I find on the web. A few of the ones I want to use are of a low resolution. Is there any way in FCP I can improve the resolution? I'm guessing not but it doesn't hurt to ask. If not FCP, perhaps another program?

thanks in advance. those who give answers here are the best!

Nothing that i have ever seen that will do a good job.

I think it is also important to mention that legally you can't just grab any photo from the web and use it a film. If you do you leave your self open to a potential lawsuit from the copy writ holder.

I recumbent contacting the copyright holder and getting permission to use the photo. If they agree then you could get a higher res copy from them.

Hindsight is always 1080p
