Column duplicate to other column
on Feb 21, 2010 at 5:16:35 pm

I am new to FCP, but have been using Avid for years. I was looking for a feature that I use in Avid all the time and have looked in manuals and the internet without finding anything. I am wanting to 'column duplicate to another column (Avid = select column header and click command + D and a menu comes up asking which column do I want to duplicate to?). What is the process to achieve the same in FCP? The reason why I want to do this is because I often column duplicate the 'timecode in(FCP=Media Start)' column into the 'sound tc' column (when working with RED footage where the footage tc and sound tc are same tc).

I figured out how to 'option + drag' the timecode across to another field, but it is only one clip at a time and is also time consuming (and opens up possibilities for user error).

Any help for the newbie,
