Seperate Alpha Channel
on Feb 22, 2015 at 12:47:35 pm

I have a Pond5 clip that has the alpha channel in the second half of the clip. I've tried cutting it in half and stacking them in the timeline above all other video tracks, (alpha clip highest), but it isn't working.
How can I get the alpha channel to work? Do I need to merge the alpha clip with the RGB clip, if so, how?
Thanks for any input, I'd appreciate it.

I learned that my clip doesn't have an alpha channel, just a black & white (negative) version. Looking through Creative Cow's forums, I think Stephan may have given me the answer:

"Apply the Image Mask filter to your clip and drag the alpha channel clip to the mask imagewell in the filter controls."

I'll try that.
