Prores HQ to mxf in Final Cut Pro 7

Hi!

I need to convert a Prores HQ video clip to a .mxf-file in Final Cut Pro 7. What would be the best way of doing this?

Here are the specs:

For HD, use XDCAM MPEG HD422 at 50Mb/s CBR

1920 by 1080/50i
XDCAM HD422 50Mb/s mxf OP1a file
Time code for first frame of video to be consistent across all related media and metadata and to end with zero seconds and frames
Stereo mix and optional Dolby-E

Thank you very much!

There is an option in FCP called FILE>EXPORT>XDCAM. That's how you export to the MXF OP1a deliverable.

Thank you! I exported the file through XDCam transfer and it seems like it's fine. One question is still the audio: I had to change dual mono while exporting and when I play the .mxf-file in Vlc, it plays in mono. In XDCam Transfer preview it plays correctly (in stereo). I know Vlc isn't the best software to try these files, so is it safe to assume the file is encoded correctly?

Here are the settings I used:

The file bounced back from the broadcaster with a message that the file is progressive instead of interlaced. Can I convert it again by changing Sequence settings' Field dominance to Upper field and it will be interlaced? Or should I convert the Prores Hq file to a new Prores hq file with interlaced upper field first and then convert it to mxf? Thanks in advance!
