FCP 7 Crashes...
At random when you have a few timelines open FCP seems to crash. I also get green video bars in the viewer. No plugins are installed to keep it as light as possible.
I get these error message in the console log, does anyone know what it means?
I'm on an 27 inch iMac from late 2012 with and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB chip.
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac13,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 3,4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 8 MB
Memory: 16 GB
This the crash log I get but I don't understand much of it:
There's a tool called CRASH ANALYZER from Digitalrebellion.com that will tell you exactly what this means. Not free, but part of a VERY handy toolset.
What is the codec of the footage you are working with? And you know that Mavericks OS isn't the most compatible with FCP 7...

Seems like kernel panics, but I'm not an expert.
CRASH ANALYZER says that is was a problem with the drawing of the UI or something.
Which version of OSX was thought of to be most compatible with FCP7? Is it 10.6.8?
If so I will boot from an external drive to do some testing. But I don't know if a 2012 iMac is compatible with that version of osx. there are also thunderbolt drives attached so those won't work as well I guess.
