Issue with Changing Sequence Settings in FCP7
on Jun 21, 2014 at 10:11:22 pm

I am editing a music video in FCP7, I shot in HD, against a green screen, and also purchased HD stock footage to use as backdrops to the footage of the band. The first clip I imported into the sequence was a low-res temp file, and now all of the HD footage has been minimized to match the first low-res file.
I was advised to create a new sequence, first adding an HD clip onto the timeline, and then copying and pasting the original cut onto the new sequence, then to individually resized each clip to fit the new sequence settings. However, it seems to have extended the video's timecode, as it no longer is in sync with the song. There is also strange grid-like lines running horizontally and vertically through the clips when I play it back.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions...
Thanks in advance!

sounds like you have a miss-match in your frame rates.

as the newer sequence is conformed to the frame rate of the HD, (which is presumably the master format???)
you will need to tweak the edits to remove gaps etc.

you have to do this manually.
your overall timings should be ok, but you'll have to deal with the individual edit points.
