Dragging content independently of transform frame
on Nov 1, 2013 at 2:05:20 pm

Hi,

I have a video clip that somehow has been positioned partially outside of the 'Transform' frame, i.e. the frame that appears when you click the transform icon. See image below:

I would like to be able to drag the video back inside the transform frame, as I suspect that it being outside is affecting one or two of the transitions that I have in place. I am aware that with text I can move the textbox within a frame, but not sure how to do this with video clips.

Could someone please let me know how I do this.

Thanks,

Nick

You have to change the canvas settings,
then click on the picture and you can move it like the text box

cheers

Little box, third one to the right, says "image and wire frame". Highlight the clip in the track first, then the wireframe is active. Or right click on the clip, and you can undo the motion settings from there, without changing any filter settings.

Sorry for being rather dumb, but I can't see where the canvas settings are or the little box with the "image and wire frame" settings, and I have looked!

Ah, sorry. I have indeed posted this in the wrong forum - I am using Final Cut Pro X. Is there a way of moving the thread over, or closing it so that I can ask again in the right place. Or perhaps someone here uses both apps?

No, it stands here for the ages, eternally mocking your shame across the width and depth of the entire internet. Don't sweat it, though. :-)
