Popping Audio and Final Cut Won't Let me Save
on Jun 27, 2013 at 8:52:42 pm

Hey Guys,

So I'm working on a project and Final Cut Pro 7 is freaking out in the following ways:

-When I play back in the timeline the audio cracks and pops and I can barely hear anything underneath.

-When I go to save the project it gives me the "general error" message. It also does this when I go to render.

-I tried turn on a harddrive with other projects on it just before this started happening. Could that have messed up Final Cut?

Any help is very appreciated.

[Lucie Steiner] "-When I play back in the timeline the audio cracks and pops and I can barely hear anything underneath."

What format is this audio? FCP doesn't work with mp3, mp4...44.1Khz. It prefers AIF 48K 16 bit stereo. Anything else and it throws a fit.

What is the codec of the footage you are trying to edit? Can you do a SAVE AS?

Shouldn't...
