How to export multiple clips to XDCAM drive
on May 8, 2013 at 10:15:58 am

Hi,

I am about to digitize a lots of Beta-tapes so I can upscale and archive them on XDCAM-discs. But it seems that I can only send sequences to the device (I have a PDW-U2 at hand). How can I export a whole bunch of clips?

If FCP can't do that, can Avid?

You have to export them as a sequence. There's no way to make an XDCAM disk as if you shot it in the field....a bunch of clips. String them all together, export the sequence.

Avid doesn't do in the way you want either.

How are you capturing the BetaSP clips in order to upconvert them?

XDCam is in essence a BluRay disk, yes? You can burn a timeline to BluRay disk in FCP7.
