Slowing down clips to transcribe

Hi, this isn't really FCP related besides the fact that I'm using it when I reach the editing phase. I was just wondering is there a way I can slow clips down to transcribe them so that I can write the video script? A few of the people I've interviewed talk really fast and it's hard to transcribe at normal speed.

I just put the clip in a timeline, set an in and out point around the trouble area, and hit shift-play. FCP repeats the selected area until the cows come home. Then I do the same thing for the next trouble spot.

We use ExpressScribe when we transcribe and caption show.
I believe it is a free download.

You can control it with a foot pedal if you have one other wise I think it has keyboard control's for FF, FR, and play.

But Dave suggestion would work too. :)

Steve.
