How to import mpg4 from MPEG Streamclip so it doesn't have to be rendered

I have 34 minutes of mpg4's and FC says it will take 10 hours to render. Any advice appreciated

MP4 is not supported by FC.
Convert it to any editable codec.
Prores is the best option.
If you have already made all the editing, change the sequence codec to Prores and set render in YUV.

Thanks for your response. You are correct, of course. I exported the files as QuickTime DV PAL. Worked a treat.
