FCP 7 Audio
on Feb 7, 2013 at 2:09:39 pm

Hey, I I added my audio to the timeline in FCP 7 and once it's rendered and I play it back, I can hear like extra sound noise in the background, sort of beats or similar to when you get too close to a microphone, gets very unpleasant and ruins the sound of the audio, has anyone else experienced this and can help at all ?

Thanks

Denis

Why are you rendering your audio? Audio shouldn't need to be rendered unless it is an unsupported format

FCP doesn't like MP3s. It craves AIFF 16-bit 48khz files. Or broadcast WAV files.

Why are you hijacking threads? Post a new one! And on the Premiere forum, since this is a Premiere question.

[fernando zuniga] "Shane, sorry but Im not hijacking threads,"

If your question has no relation to what is being discussed...it's a hijack! Hee, but no worries, just letting you know...

[Denis Plesca] "it's just an MP3 straight from ZOOM H1 Recorder"

Use Quicktime Pro or Compressor to convert this to an AIFF or WAV file. FCP works well with either format.

BTW, why are you recording audio in mp3 format on a Zoom? mp3 is a heavily compressed format...not ideal for editing or sound work.

Hi Ryan, Thanks for the post, I don't know why I was using Mp3 , someone somewhere suggested it and I went on from there, but I just converted my audio files to WAV, and it sounds beautiful !

Thanks !!!
