Ghosting on green screened PTC - how to fix?
on Nov 22, 2012 at 11:40:54 am

Hi guys,
I've got a PTC with old black and white archive footage underneath.

As the guy bends down to get something and then moves out of shot, there is a slight ghosting of his movements.

Is there anyway the reduce it/ remove it completely?

This footage isn't sped up or slowed down either.

Thanks

Please tell us about the media container and codec of the green screen footage, or at the very least the type of camera used to shoot it and any intermediate transcoding that may have occurred.

The quality of any chroma key depends on good lighting, a codec that records the color scanned by the camera in sufficient resolution, and the type of keyer being used. You can tell us about the codec and the keyer, but we'd need a screen shot of a frame from the original footage to comment on lighting.

Incidentally, this is the first time I've heard the term "PTC". So I looked it up on Wikipedia, I found the following text in italics, and I'm not sure which applies in your case:
