Exporting 10 bit uncompressed at 4:4:4:4
on Nov 16, 2012 at 3:26:13 pm

Someone has requested an archive file that is 10 bit uncompressed and 4:4:4:4 chroma.

Feeling a bit stupid here...I've been trying to figure out how to export a timeline that is both 10 bit uncompressed AND 4:4:4:4.

I've exported ProRes 4:4:4:4, which in QT player states that it is 8-bit, and the 10 bit uncompressed files state they are 4:2:2. Am I missing something obvious (most likely)?

Thanks for any help out there!

Apple 10b Unc is YUV/422.
The only YUV/444(4) I know in the market is Sheer.
Not sure if they still are in business

All the Prores family are YUV/422, except Prores444(4) that supports 12b RGB&YUV.

Uncompressed 444 is 10bit and can be either YUV or RGB.

4444 files are considered RGB + ALPHA- if there is not an alpha channel it is 444.

The QT player is always reading files @8bit.

You do not state anything about system or source files, if your originals were not that format you will need to create that color space for output.
