converting Ps mxf to ProRes422

Using FCP 7 - do I need a converter for this process or can FCP already do this? In Log Transfer there are 3 options in Preferences - Mpeg2 SD to ProRes 422; AVCHD to ProRes 422 and P2 AVC-Intra to Native... there is no option to select ProRes 422.

I'm bringing in 2 different sources into the Project - P2 beling one and SD footage that automatically comes in as ProRes 422 @ 1920x1080.

My P2 footage is automatically coming in as DVCProHD @ 960x720.

Want all footage to be ProRes422 @ 1920x1080. What's the best way to accomplish this?

Thx,

Dan

I just noticed that I can click on Native under P2 AVC-Intra and I do get a number of select ProRes 422 options. I selected ProRes422 but the clip still comes in as DVCPRO HD @ 960x720. Why is this? Did it really come in as ProRes 422 or was that preference setting ignored/bypassed???

[Dan Mulhern] "My P2 footage is automatically coming in as DVCProHD @ 960x720."
That's because your P2 footage is not AVC-Intra, but DVCProHD and don't need to be converted. cCn be edited native.
Drop it as it is on a Prores1280x720 Square pixels sequence.
