Mixed footage 1440 and 1920 on one timeline
on Oct 29, 2012 at 2:10:45 am

Hey all,
I have a mix of footage shot on HDV and on a 5dMIII. I've converted them both to prores LT, but one is 1440x1080 and the other is at 1920x1080, and they don't seem to behave perfectly when they're on the same timeline (whichever one I don't set the sequence presets for gives me that green, quasi-rendered notice above it). Anyone have any generic or specific advice on working with mixed media like this in one sequence?

Use a ProRes timeline...like you are. Doesn't matter that one is 1440...it'll stretch out to fill the 1920 frame. And HDV is better in a ProRes sequence, than ProRes in an HDV sequence.
