Blu Ray drive for Mac Pro 3,1

I know this has been covered and i've done searches. Have some ideas but wanted to verify here before undergoing purchase/install.
I am running FCP7 on a Mac Pro 3,1 quad core intel xeon dual 3.2 processors running 10.5.8.

I have the stock dual DVD bays, would prefer just getting external BR drive but can install one internally if better chance of working and being more efficient.

The Pioneer BDR-205 appears to be long gone. Found the DIGISTOR External Bu-ray Burner that should work. Any other ideas that might work.

thanks

Lacie sells some (bought one 2-3 years ago, still in use; works well):

MCE also sells some (I bought one of these 4/5 years ago - not impressed):

We use the Samsung SE 506

http://www.dabs.com/products/samsung-se-506ab-blu-ray-writer-slim-portable-...

It's cheap, very reliable, and works straight out of the box. Not the fastest in the world but burns a 25gb disc in about 50 mins which is more than enough for our needs.

Best

Paddy
