Replacing footage in a sequence with color corrected footage
on Sep 11, 2012 at 1:40:09 pm

I'm sure there's a simple answer for this but I did a search and could not find anything. I have a sequence with dailies footage in it. I need to replace all that footage with the color corrected footage. There must be an easy way to do that without having to cut the whole sequence again. I already tried to use media manager and do an XML but it is not linking up to the footage. Could it be because the name is slightly different? Please help.
Thanks!

Yes. If you are trying to have it automatically update to the new Color Corrected clips they need to be named the exactly the same as the original. You could put them in a different folder and just point to the folder when it is asking to search for them.

The other option is to highlight the entire sequence, right click and then re-link them to the clips with the new names.

You will have to uncheck "Matched name and reel only".

Steve.
