I need help troubleshooting footage shot with a Sony HDR-AX2000. The content looks very blurred, but the audio is perfect. Can anything be done to normalize the footage in post production? Details:
Camera Sony HDR-AX2000
frame size 1920x1080
Video Format AVCHD in .MTS file container (MPEG-2 Transport Stream)
Audio 2 channel 48kHz 16 bit per channel
Camera recording media 64GB SD XC flash memory card
Any help is appreciated, even if the verdict is that the content can't be fixed.
When you play it out of the camera onto a monitor...is it blurry there? Meaning, is the SOURCE blurry? Or is this only when you import into FCP?
HOW did you import into FCP?
And please don't tell me you are judging the quality of the image by what you see in the Viewer and Canvas. They aren't designed to show you full quality...just to let you see what you are doing. An external monitor connected via an IO device is what you use to judge quality.
