Perfect, I don't know; have you tried FLV Crunch? It's free.

Thank you for responding. Since I have posted my question, I have been doing extensive research and I found that as a possible solution. I will give it a try tomorrow and I will post my results.

I had problems getting FLV crunch 5.0-something to work right, but found an earlier 3.0 version that did work.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I could not find FLV crunch 3.0 version. I downloaded FLV crunch 1.5.0 but when I imported the
video clip which I downloaded from Youtube I got an error message stating there was a problem. GRRR

FLV Crunch is currently somewhere around the 5.0 version number. My co-workers are using it with great success in that version, just something about my own setup didn't like it and wanted the earlier one.

I found FLV 1.5.0. I downloaded one of my videos from Youtube and I still had no luck.
When I place the video the converter the status first shows waiting then status reads Problem.

I can't imagine what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

FLV crunch 1.5.0 is working just fine when I import videos from my computer and convert them in any format. It is only videos that I download from YouTube that I am having a problem with.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-CP

To pull down you tube vids I use http://www.clipconverter.cc. To manipulate the clips after that, I use Squared 5 MPEG Streamclip. Both are free. MPEG Streamclip is absolutely magnificent, a video can-opener that works on just about anything and works well.
