I’m new to this forum and want to thank everyone in advance for their help. I shot a short film on Canon 7d and already transcoded half of the footage using the canon EOS plugin for Final Cut Pro. I've also already synced the transcoded video files with the audio that was recorded separately. Yesterday, I realized that instead of using the recommended Pro Res 422, I used, by accident, Pro Res 4444.
I've already read that Pro Res 4444 is overkill, uses too much space, and shouldn't be used with canon 7d footage. My questions are since I’ve already done all this work, what are the consequences of leaving it in Pro Res 4444, and are the consequences bad enough that it’s worth redoing everything I’ve done and transcoding the footage into Pro Res 422?
Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
