• | TC filter shows in sub sequences, when turned off

Hi Guys
I supplied a file with a TC for client (seq 2 below) to choose bits and ordering, not rocket science. They chopped it as they wanted it in Windows movie and sent it back.
heres my sequence sub-levels list for ref:
seq 1 = raw footage cleaned up and consolidated
seq 2 = seq 1 + TC filter to give 1 timecode
seq 3 = seq 2 + wmv to edit identically (this seq is now defunkt)
seq 3A = a direct duplicate of seq 3, (put aside for reference only) adding logos music etc.
now I have finished, I go back to Seq 2 and turn off the TC filter. No longer visible in Seq 2.
But, 1 level down in Seq 3 only 1 piece of footage's TC disappears and the rest stay visible.
I have dumped all render files, deleted the filter in Seq 2 and restarted, dumped render files, rebooted, searched all discs, ejected all necessary discs ...and sworn quite a bit.
nothing seems to make the TC go away.
I'm currently considering bringing in a psd that covers everything, rendering, removing it and rendering again, just to try and unblock it.
Any ideas welcome!
Best

In sequence 3 have you changed clip opacity to see the wmv layer with the burn in? If so then try deleting the wmv's and select all clips and delete attributes>opacity.

hi Michael
No I didn't change opacity as I did it roughly using the 2 voices simultaneously.
I did the tc months ago, so can't exactly remember how I did it but..
I see that in seq 3 I copy/pasted the selection and the version I copied the tc has gone but the version I pasted, it stays.
think it could be the act of pasting it that has bugged the following seq. possible ?

OK it is resolved, but i think it's an FCP glitch.
In seq 3a, EACH cut of seq2 that i made seems to have created its OWN "Ghost" seq2+TC. So i have gone through 100 cuts in seq3a, double clicked and turned off the TC!
I now have 100x seq2 timelines open where there should be only 1.
When i say "Ghost" Seq, i mean it doesn't show up anywhere and seems to only exist in FCPs inner self...
In conclusion, it seems that when I created the duplicate seq for cutting i presumed FCP would be able to follow the logic and cascade the changes in one go. It can't... or i have a bug.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had similar problems?
