Final Cut Pro 7 won't read .mov files shot with the JVC GYHD200
on Apr 10, 2012 at 11:49:29 pm

Everything was working beautifully with my iMac (OS X 10.6.8) and my Final Cut Pro (7.0.3) until I did the following updates: EPSON Printer, Safari, Apple Software Installer, Security Update 2012-001, iTunes, Java, and Remote Desktop Client Update. I was advised that it could be iTunes that messed with the files so I deleted it and quicktime itself but nothing changed. I also just did a Mac OS X Update Combined that took about 3 hours but no luck with that either! I keep getting the message: "An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie" when I try to open the files. It only happens with footage shot with the JVC HD200 though. Any footage from any other camera seems fine. HELP!!:)
