Exported Video Stutters
on Apr 3, 2012 at 12:47:57 pm

I am exporting footage from FCP in its original format (Prores 422 / 23.98 fps) and the exported video has numerous dropped frames.

I imported this video into FCP into a sequence with presets for Prores 422/23.98 in order to sync it with audio at 48 kHz / 16 bit.

The original video clips play fine in QT and in FCP when I playback the timeline there are no issues at all.

It's only when I export sequences that this problem arises.

I tried exporting without sound, thinking that maybe the AIFF files I imported were the issue, but the same stuttering occurs.

And when I say stuttering, it's as if the file outputted was 10 or 11 fps. Lots of gap in motion.

And the video clips are just interviews - nothing that would warrant motion problems. I've never had this issue before on this system

Mac Tower 2x2.4 GHz quad core with 16 GB memory.
