toggle clip keyframe view not working
on Feb 17, 2012 at 6:33:56 pm

Hi, weird problem: I click the "toggle clip keyframe" icon on the lower left of timeline but it doesn't change my view at all anymore. This was working fine a few days ago, now nothing. I reset my workspace to default and try it again, still no keyframe bar appears below my clips. Any ideas? You can see below that the button is active but no keyframe bar appears.
I am viewing the most bottom part of my video layer. The clips are keyframed.
Thanks!

Trash your preferences for FCP.

I trashed my prefs and the "Final Cut Pro User Data" folder and restarted and I still have the same problem. This is very bizarre, have never seen this problem in my many years using FCP.

Update: the only thing that worked is creating a new sequence and copy/pasting the old sequence's media into it. Somehow this one sequence got corrupted or something and just refused to respond to clicking the Toggle Clip Keyframes button.
Hmph. At least I've got it working again. Will be making a new project and trashing the old one in case of catchy corruption.

Is it the same with all sequences?

Hi, I had updated the post after getting this to work but looks like it didn't take...
Yes, it must have been just one probably corrupt sequence because I copy/pasted my media into a new sequence and the toggle clip keyframes button works now in that new sequence, though still not in the old.
I've created a new project and copy/pasted my media into it, trashed the old project to avoid any further corruption and all seems to be working fine now.
Thank you for your help!
