Black Flickering In FCP
on Jan 24, 2012 at 4:19:56 am

Whenever I use Boris Continuum (or it may be any keying plugin) in FCP, if my subject is wearing black, the black will flicker after rendering. I've solved the problem a little by bringing down my blacks in the 'color corrector three way' filter..but then my subject becomes too dark, so this isn't really a fix-all solution.

I've tried fooling with the 'flicker' option in the BCC key plugin, but to no avail. Is this due to another setting, like "lightness" or "density" or something like that? Any advice is appreciate.

People use the term "flicker" to mean all sorts of things, most of them misleading.

A candle flickers when the wind blows. A light flickers when the filament is about to blow.

So what do YOU mean when you write "flicker"? A detailed description is good.
