FCP timeline to Multiple Res MP4?
on Jan 12, 2012 at 6:02:56 pm

I'm using an older version of Final Cut Pro / Studio for my work. Version 6.0.6

My original files are the .mov files produced by a JVC GY-HM100 HD (35mbps XDCamEX).

My goal is to create MP4 video clips 3-5 minutes long in two resolutions. 1920x1080 and 1280x720 for download and playback from local drive, and a third size for streaming.

I'm here looking for workflow & codec advice. As I look in compressor I don't see lots of options for MP4/h.264. Practical bitrates, other options for leaving the timeline and ending up at mp4 (h.264 flavor), etc?

Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Jimmy

Render out as H.264. Use Mpeg Streamcip to "Save As" MP4.
